You’re probably reading this because you saw the title of this blog post and thought it made absolutely no sense, am I right? Making money from shopping? I know it sounds a bit odd, but trust me! I just got my first cheque in the mail and had to share this site with all of you.
Anyone who knows me knows that I hate shopping in person! The mall overwhelms me. Due to this, I solely shop online which is why I love Rakuten. It allows me to shop as usual but get some cash back on my purchases at over 750 stores.
The way it works is you sign up for an account, download the app on your phone or enable the extension on your browser & voila! Then you just shop as you normally would, and get cash back when you shop at their retail partners. The price of the items you purchase remains the same, but they give Rakuten a commission which Rakuten then shares with you. What I love is that I donβt have to change my spending habits (i.e. spend more to get more points), I simply added Rakuten as an extension to my browser and shop as usual. Also, I still get my points from my credit card from making the purchase so itβs a win-win.
I want to emphasize that I’m not encouraging you to go shopping, but if you are already shopping, you might as well get some money for it!
