Are you in Toronto this summer? 😇
If you’ve been following my journey, you know I’m passionate about helping you take control of your finances without losing yourself in the process.
What if I told you that on Saturday, July 19th, we’re going to do exactly that – together, in person, right here in Toronto? After the amazing feedback from our Lagos and Abuja events, I’m bringing Don’t Go Broke Trying back to Toronto this summer!
You are hearing about this first! As my email subscriber, you are getting early access to the tickets before I announce this on social media.
With only 200 tickets, if you’d like to come, you need to get yours before it’s too late. They sold like hot cakes last time!
Here’s the thing: money conversations are still taboo.
How many of us can actually sit down with our partners, our parents, or even our closest friends and talk openly about our finances? Without judgment and without someone getting defensive…
Yeah, I thought so.
Financial literacy (+ some privilege) afforded me the ability to purchase a house at 23.
However, I’ve been where you are too – staring at my bank account wondering where all my money went, feeling overwhelmed by conflicting financial advice, and not knowing where to start.
That’s exactly why I’m bringing back Don’t Go Broke Trying Toronto 2025 this summer, and honestly, I’m more excited about this year’s event than I’ve ever been.

The pressure of summer is among us
Summer’s here, and with it comes all the pressure to spend on experiences, trips, and that soft life we all deserve. Here’s the thing: you can enjoy your life AND be smart with your money. You can build wealth AND live well.
However, to do all of this right, you need the correct approach.
This event is happening when most people make summer financial decisions they tend to regret later.
After years in corporate Canada and countless conversations with people just like you, I know that financial literacy isn’t just about knowing the “right” moves. It’s about understanding how money fits into YOUR life, YOUR values, YOUR goals, and YOUR dreams.
Whether you’re managing money with your partner, navigating generational expectations, or just trying to enjoy your life without going broke, this event will give you the tools and support you need to thrive financially and emotionally.
We’ve got 200 spots, and knowing this community, they won’t last long.
Proudly Sponsored by Pesa
I am excited to have Pesa as our title sponsor because honestly, they get it.
If you’re sending money back home, supporting family, or just trying to move your money around without getting hit with crazy fees – Pesa lets you do it for FREE.
Money is personal. So is Pesa. They’re building a platform that works for you – with fast transfers, great rates with no surprises, and multi-currency accounts that let you hold, send, and receive in CAD, NGN, USD, GBP, and EUR.
When you’re at the event, definitely swing by their booth during the Money Moves Mixer. They’ve got free merch and you can learn more about how their app works if cross-border transfers are something you deal with.

What I love most about our community is how we show up for each other. We have the hard conversations. We celebrate the wins and support each other through challenges.
July 19th is going to be special because of who shows up. I hope that includes you. There are limited seats available, and last year they sold out fast. So if you want to come, don’t put off getting your ticket until later.
I can’t wait to see you!
Until next time,
